About
Dani Riley is an artist whose curiosity and attention to detail leads her to explore diverse ways of image making. Her photographs support the creation of light studies and time-based media projects. She strives to capture light as not only a way to measure time, but to document the ways in which light creates unique forms, aiming to keep viewers immersed in her work. Her recent work centers on her relationship with her late father, examining the space between memory and reality and questioning how we come to understand someone after they are gone.
Riley is honing her skills as a photographer at Rochester Institute of Technology, working towards completing her BFA in fine art photography. She currently lives and works between Blacksburg, VA, and Rochester, NY.
