This body of work is a poetic investigation of how memory, loss, and connection shape my own understanding of my late father. Using the family archive as a primary lens, I explore the question: What kind of a person was my father, beyond being my dad? Since he passed away when I was seven years old, I rely on photographs of my childhood to glimpse how he saw my family’s life together. Alongside this, I observe how light moves through spaces and interacts with memory, deepening my exploration. Through this project, I invite viewers to reflect on my personal experience, both through archival images and also metaphorically, on how absence shapes memory.
